Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, supporting Azizi Developments in Dubai, is seeking an Irrigation Engineer to design and implement landscape irrigation systems across large developments. The role requires strong coordination with landscape teams, contractors, and MEP/Civil teams to ensure efficient water use and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural or Irrigation Engineering with 3–5 years UAE experience and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural or Irrigation Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of UAE irrigation design and execution experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and irrigation design tools; familiarity with codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify irrigation networks (drip, sprinkler, bubbler) for landscapes.
• Review irrigation drawings and coordinate with landscape consultants/contractors.
• Supervise site installation of pipes, valves, controllers and pumps.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and water demand/pressure testing.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot faults or leaks.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality irrigation regulations.
• Coordinate with MEP/civil to avoid underground utility clashes.
• Prepare BOQs, submittals, and inspection/test reports.
• Liaise with suppliers for equipment procurement and handover docs.

As a Irrigation Engineer, you will be responsible for for designing, installing, and maintaining irrigation systems across Azizi's landscape and development projects in the UAE, ensuring efficient water use and compliance with local municipality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and specify irrigation networks (drip, sprinkler, bubbler systems) for landscape and soft‑scape works


• Review irrigation shop drawings and coordinate with landscape consultants and contractors


• Supervise installation of pipework, valves, controllers, and pumps on site


• Conduct hydraulic calculations and water demand/pressure testing


• Monitor irrigation system performance and troubleshoot faults or leaks


• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality / relevant authority irrigation and water conservation regulations


• Coordinate with MEP and civil teams to avoid clashes with underground utilities


• Prepare BOQs, material submittals, and inspection/testing reports


• Liaise with suppliers for irrigation equipment procurement


• Support handover documentation, O&M manuals, and defect liability period follow-up

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or related field


• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in irrigation design/execution, preferably with a UAE contracting or landscaping firm


• Strong knowledge of irrigation design software (e.g. AutoCAD, hydraulic design tools)


• Familiarity with UAE municipality irrigation codes and approval processes


• Experience with drip and pop-up sprinkler systems for large-scale developments


• UAE driving license preferred


• Good coordination and site supervision skills
