Job summary

Azizi Developments in Dubai is looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer - Civil to lead civil material procurement for residential and hospitality projects. You will source materials such as aluminum, steel, marble, joinery, and ready-mix concrete, coordinating with international suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

You will collaborate with project managers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain, negotiate contracts, and implement quality controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven expertise in civil finishes materials & systems used in residential and hotel buildings.
• At least 10-12 years of experience in procurement, with an expertise on material procurement.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier proposals and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Procurement: Collaborate with international suppliers and manufacturers to procure civil materials, and services.
• Vendor Management: Evaluate and select vendors based on their track record, reliability, and ability to meet project requirements. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to elevate procurement outcomes.
• Technical Specifications: Work closely with project managers, and consultants to understand technical specifications and key technical requirement to negotiate and maximize overall savings. Ensure that purchased items align with project requirements and comply with relevant standards.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Streamline procurement processes, minimize lead times, and manage delivery effectively. Identify potential risks related to deliveries and develop mitigation strategies.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures for Civil material components. Coordinate with inspections and audits to verify compliance with specifications.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain actual records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance. Generate regular reports for management review.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and logistics, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil finishing items procurement. Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
