Responsibilities

• Supervise QA, sampling, and lab testing for civil construction materials.
• Review and approve material submittals and technical data sheets.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality codes and international standards.
• Collaborate with Design, Procurement, and Project Engineering to evaluate cost-effective and sustainable materials.
• Conduct site inspections and supplier audits for material quality and storage conditions.

Role Overview

Azizi Developments is recruiting a Material Engineer – Civil to manage construction material selection, quality control, and testing procedures across its Dubai property portfolio. The role ensures that concrete, steel, finishing materials, and civil components comply with project specifications, municipality standards, and design requirements while supporting material cost-optimization and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise quality assurance, sampling, and laboratory testing procedures for civil construction materials.
• Review, evaluate, and approve material submittals, product technical data sheets, and compliance documents.
• Enforce adherence to project design specifications, Dubai Municipality codes, and international engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Design, Procurement, and Project Engineering teams to evaluate cost-effective and sustainable material alternatives.
• Conduct site inspections and supplier audits to audit material quality, storage conditions, and batching plant standards.
• Maintain complete documentation of material approval logs, test reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and third-party lab certifications.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 10 or more years of field experience in material engineering within contracting or engineering consultancy firms.

Project Expertise

• Direct exposure to high-rise residential towers, hospitality developments, or multi-use master developments in Dubai.

Technical Mastery

• In-depth knowledge of ASTM/BS/ISO testing standards, concrete technology, soil testing, structural steel parameters, and material approval submittal workflows.

Core Competencies

• Quality assurance, material testing analysis, vendor compliance auditing, technical documentation, and cross-departmental coordination.
