Job summary

Al Ain Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Interior Design BIM Coordinator Lead Modeler in Abu Dhabi. You will lead a team of BIM modelers, coordinate multidisciplinary design, and develop detailed interior BIM models using Revit and related tools.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, strong leadership, and thorough knowledge of interior design documentation, with UAE/GCC project experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
• 5–7 years in interior design BIM modeling and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience leading BIM modelers or BIM workstreams.
• Experience in architectural/engineering consultancy preferred.
• UAE or GCC project experience advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of interior design documentation and detailing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Interior Design BIM modelers including task allocation, technical guidance, workload planning and progress monitoring.
• Review models and drawings for accuracy, consistency and compliance with project requirements and company standards.
• Develop, maintain and coordinate detailed Interior Design BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Translate approved design intent into coordinated BIM models and technical documentation.
• Produce and review Interior Design drawings including plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, schedules and construction details.
• Develop coordinated packages for joinery, millwork, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, wet areas, FF&E interfaces and specialist Interior Design elements.
• Coordinate Interior Design models with Architecture, Structural, MEP, Landscape and other disciplines.
• Conduct model coordination reviews, identify clashes, and resolve interface issues with multidisciplinary teams.
• Implement BIM Execution Plan, modeling standards, naming conventions, information requirements and workflows.
• Set up and maintain Revit files, templates, worksets, links, families, parameters, materials and schedules.
• Conduct BIM model audits and QA/QC reviews for health of models and documentation quality.
• Support preparation and delivery of Interior Design packages through all stages (Concept, Schematic, DD, Tender, IFC).
• Maintain organized BIM models, drawing packages, linked files and project information in the common data environment.
• Mentor BIM modelers to improve capability, consistency and technical performance.
• Coordinate with Interior Designers, Technical Designers, BIM teams and PMs to meet milestones and deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Interior Design BIM modelers including task allocation technical guidance workload planning and progress monitoring
• Review models and drawings produced by the team to ensure accuracy consistency and compliance with project requirements and company standards
• Develop maintain and coordinate detailed Interior Design BIM models using Autodesk Revit
• Translate approved design intent into coordinated BIM models and technical documentation
• Produce and review Interior Design drawings including plans elevations sections reflected ceiling plans finish plans schedules and construction details
• Develop coordinated packages for joinery millwork ceilings flooring wall finishes wet areas FF amp E interfaces and specialist Interior Design elements
• Coordinate Interior Design models with Architecture Structural MEP Landscape and other relevant disciplines
• Conduct model coordination reviews identify clashes and interface issues and work with multidisciplinary teams to support their resolution
• Implement the project BIM Execution Plan modeling standards naming conventions information requirements and agreed project workflows
• Set up and maintain Revit project files templates worksets links families parameters materials and schedules
• Conduct BIM model audits and QA QC reviews to ensure model health information completeness and documentation quality
• Support the preparation and delivery of Interior Design packages through Concept Schematic Design Design Development Tender and IFC stages
• Maintain organized BIM models drawing packages linked files and project information within the agreed common data environment
• Support and mentor BIM modelers helping improve team capability consistency and technical performance
• Coordinate closely with Interior Designers Technical Designers BIM teams and Project Managers to achieve project milestones and submission deadlines

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in Interior Design BIM modeling, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating a team of BIM modelers or managing an Interior Design BIM workstream.
• Previous experience within an architectural, engineering, or multidisciplinary design consultancy is strongly preferred.
• UAE or GCC project experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Interior Design construction documentation, materials, finishes, joinery, millwork, ceilings, wet areas, and technical detailing.
• Experience working across multiple project types, such as residential, hospitality, commercial, workplace, retail, community, or public-sector developments.
