Job summary

Star Services LLC in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer for offshore maintenance in oil and gas. The role involves calibration and overhauling of control valves and field instruments, troubleshooting PLC/DCS systems, and performing preventive maintenance across plant locations.

Requires a Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in maintenance of field instruments and control systems in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with PLC and DCS systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct calibration and overhauling work for control valves and field instruments, recording data and calibration reports.
• Attend to breakdowns and perform corrective actions following procedures.
• Carry out preventive maintenance at all plant locations to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, hydraulic control, electro-mechanical and other controllers of control systems.
• Perform commissioning activities, start-up, and operations support as needed.
• Check instrument materials in warehouse for emergency quantities.
• Assist in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance activities.

Job Description

• Conduct calibration and overhauling work for the control valves and field instruments, record all data calibration report for future references


• Attend to breakdowns and perform corrective actions, ensuring adherence to procedures


• Carryout preventive maintenance activities at all plant locations according to defined schedules to facilitate uninterrupted operations


• Carry out troubleshooting on PLC, DCS, Hydraulic Control, Electro-Mechanical and other controllers of the control systems.


• Conduct troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, installation, inspection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operation support.


• Check all Instrument materials about the quantity for emergency purposes in the warehouse.


• Assists in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance activity is completed to ensure smooth recommencing of operations.
