Job summary

Dubai Industrial Co. in Dubai is seeking an Instrumentation Technician (Maintenance) to support installation, inspection, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems. The role ensures safe and efficient production with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance, knowledge of process control, and preventive maintenance in heavy industries; PEC Craft Training is preferred. SAP CMMS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related technical discipline.
• Completion of PEC Craft Training is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance within manufacturing, smelter or heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
• Inspect, test, and repair instrumentation systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Carry out scheduled calibration of instruments and control devices.
• Diagnose faults in instrumentation and control systems using appropriate testing methods.
• Repair or replace defective components and restore equipment to normal operation.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new instrumentation equipment.
• Work closely with maintenance teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring maintenance issues.
• Recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and reduce future failures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas after completing maintenance activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase plant efficiency.
• Record maintenance activities using SAP or other CMMS.
• Maintain accurate service records and equipment history.

Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation Maintenance

• Maintain accurate service records and equipment history.
• Follow maintenance schedules to ensure all planned work is completed on time.

Safety & Compliance

• Perform all maintenance work in accordance with company safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Follow approved procedures and safe work practices at all times.
• Identify potential hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Contribute to workplace safety and continuous improvement programs.

Team Support

• Assist and mentor junior maintenance technicians when required.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices with team members.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance.
• Perform additional maintenance-related duties assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Completion of PEC Craft Training is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance within a manufacturing, smelter, or heavy industrial environment.
• Candidates who have completed PEC Craft Training may be considered without prior experience, depending on company requirements.
