Job summary

Star Services in Abu Dhabi is recruiting an experienced instrumentation specialist for offshore maintenance of field instruments and control systems in oil and gas operations. The role focuses on calibration, overhauling valves, troubleshooting PLC/DCS, and ensuring compliance with procedures.

You will perform preventive maintenance, attend to breakdowns, and support start-up and commissioning activities across plant locations, with a 6-month probation and UAE Labour Law adherence.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in maintenance of field instruments in oil and gas.
• Experience with PLC, DCS and related control systems.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and overhaul control valves and field instruments; record calibration data for future reference.
• Attend to breakdowns and perform corrective actions following procedures.
• Carry out preventive maintenance at all plant locations per defined schedules to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, Hydraulic Control, Electro-Mechanical and other controllers of the control systems.
• Conduct testing, maintenance, installation, inspection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and operation support.
• Check instrument materials quantity for emergencies in the warehouse.
• Assist in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance to ensure smooth recommencement of operations.
