Job Description

The Department of Radiology at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), invites applications for the position of Advanced Radiologic Technologist at the Instructor level. This role combines graduate education, advanced imaging research, and technical leadership in medical imaging. The successful candidate will support the Translational Imaging Research (CTIR) in MRI-based research, graduate teaching, and industry collaborations. The position aims to enhance UAEU's imaging research capacity, train students in advanced imaging techniques, and support AI-driven diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Teaching & Training:
  • Develop and deliver graduate courses in advanced medical imaging and research methodologies.
  • Train medical students, radiology residents, and biomedical engineering students in MRI techniques and AI diagnostics.
  • Supervise Master's and PhD students in imaging research projects.
  • Research & Technical Support:
    • Operate and optimize MRI protocols (3T Siemens Prisma, fMRI, diffusion imaging, spectroscopy).
    • Assist in AI-driven imaging research, including data acquisition and analysis.
    • Ensure compliance with international imaging standards (FDA, EMA, ICH-GCP).
  • Industry & Clinical Research Collaboration:
    • Support clinical trials in oncology, neuroimaging, and cardiovascular imaging.
    • Collaborate with Mubadala, TMIC, and UAE healthcare institutions to advance research.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences, Medical Imaging, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Professional MRI certification (e.g., ARRT-MR, CAMRT, or equivalent).

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Additional certifications such as CPR/BLS and IV contrast administration.
    • At least two years of MRI imaging experience (neuro, musculoskeletal, cardiac).
    • Knowledge of patient safety protocols, including contrast agent administration.
    • Active HAD license.

    Expected Skills

    • Proficiency in MRI research protocols, including fMRI, DTI, spectroscopy.
    • Experience in clinical research, AI in medical imaging, or industry collaborations is a plus.
    • Graduate or professional teaching experience is preferred.
