Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Inspector - Electrical in Abu Dhabi to conduct comprehensive electrical inspections on construction and industrial sites, ensuring compliance with IEC, UAE standards and safety regulations. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in electrical inspection and a strong grasp of testing equipment, safety practices, and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical inspection or QA in construction or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of IEC and UAE electrical standards and local regulations.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough electrical inspections on construction and industrial sites, examining wiring, equipment, systems, and installations for compliance and safety.
• Verify adherence to electrical codes, standards (IEC and UAE) and project specifications.
• Identify electrical hazards, deficiencies, and non-compliance issues and document findings in detailed inspection reports.
• Test electrical systems and equipment using appropriate tools and methodologies to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Communicate inspection results and recommendations to project managers, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain organized records of all inspections, test results, and documentation.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified before project sign-off.
• Collaborate with site teams to promote electrical safety awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports that clearly outline findings, recommendations, and remedial actions.
• Stay current with changes in electrical codes, standards, and UAE market practices.

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Electrical to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive electrical inspections on construction and industrial sites, ensuring full compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of electrical safety and quality across all project phases.
