AECOM Middle East Ltd in Abu Dhabi is seeking a detail-oriented Inspector - Electrical to support construction and industrial projects. The role is responsible for electrical inspection, testing, and quality assurance across project activities.

You will verify wiring and installations against IEC standards and UAE regulations, identify hazards, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions before project sign-off.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical inspection, testing, or quality assurance within construction or industrial environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IEC standards, UAE electrical requirements, local regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
• Strong ability to identify electrical hazards and assess installations for regulatory and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical inspections on construction and industrial sites, examining wiring, equipment, systems, and installations for compliance and safety.
• Verify electrical works against applicable codes, IEC standards, UAE electrical requirements, local regulations, and project specifications.
• Identify electrical hazards, deficiencies, and non-compliance issues and document findings accurately.
• Test electrical systems and equipment using appropriate inspection tools and methodologies to verify functionality and safety.
• Communicate inspection findings and recommendations to project managers, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, test results, findings, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor corrective actions and verify their satisfactory completion before project sign-off.
• Collaborate with site teams to support electrical safety awareness and compliance with established safety protocols.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports detailing findings, recommendations, and required remedial actions.
• Maintain current knowledge of electrical codes, standards, regulations, and relevant industry practices in the UAE.
