Job summary

Star Plastics, LLC in Dubai seeks a hands-on Injection Moulding Supervisor to oversee machine setup, production targets and operator performance in a 24/7 environment. You will optimize process parameters, troubleshoot issues, monitor quality and downtime, and drive continuous improvement while enforcing safety and 5S standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in injection moulding, a proven record of supervising teams, and the ability to work independently across shifts in a fast-paced plant

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of process parameters, troubleshooting and defect identification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise injection moulding production, allocate manpower, communicate targets, monitor output, machine utilization, downtime and productivity and ensure schedules are achieved.
• Operate and supervise injection moulding machines, set up machines for different moulds and production runs, adjust temperature, pressure, speed, cooling time and cycle time; troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime.
• Supervise operators and production workers; allocate work, train employees on machine operation, quality and safety, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Ensure products meet approved specifications, monitor defects, coordinate with QC, implement corrective actions, minimize rejection, rework, wastage and production losses.
• Monitor workflow, identify improvement opportunities, reduce cycle time and material wastage, and recommend cost-saving and productivity measures.
• Coordinate machine breakdown repairs, report abnormalities, support preventive maintenance and assist with improved equipment and production techniques.
• Enforce safety procedures, PPE, housekeeping and safe operating practices; conduct safety awareness and ensure compliance with company policies and UAE requirements.
• Prepare shift production reports covering output, rejection, wastage, downtime, machine performance and manpower utilization; ensure proper shift handover.
• Immediate/urgent joiners with UAE or GCC manufacturing experience preferred.

Job description

Supervise injection moulding production allocate manpower communicate targets monitor output machine utilization downtime and productivity and ensure schedules are achieved.

Operate and supervise injection moulding machines set up machines for different moulds and production runs adjust temperature pressure speed cooling time and cycle time troubleshoot process issues and minimize downtime.

Strong knowledge of process parameters, troubleshooting and defect identification.

Previous experience supervising operators or production teams.

Ability to work independently in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
