Job summary

Parsons is hiring a Materials Inspector - Infrastructure Quality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to verify construction materials used across major civil engineering works. The role combines continuous site surveillance with material sampling, field testing, laboratory coordination, and detailed compliance reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering qualification and a minimum of seven years of materials inspection experience, including UAE exposure on large infrastructure

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum seven years of materials inspection experience on infrastructure projects.
• Experience with field and laboratory testing of concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates, steel, and utilities.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, submittals, mill certificates, and test results.
• Dubai Municipality or RTA materials inspector qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials against approved drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Perform daily inspections, sampling, and testing at project sites.
• Review delivered products against submittals and certificates and maintain traceability.
• Reject non-conforming materials and issue detailed action reports.
• Witness testing of soil, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, steel, water, and utilities.
• Coordinate inspection activities with engineers, safety teams, and laboratories.
