Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd invites a skilled Project Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure to join our Dubai team. You will manage pre- and post-contract cost control for major infrastructure and housing projects, delivering accurate measurements, cost reports, and final accounts.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of experience, MRICS preferred, and strong knowledge of earned value, cash‑flow forecasting, and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a similar construction‑related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver site‑based pre‑contract and post‑contract quantity surveying services for infrastructure and housing projects.
• Complete detailed measurement and quantification of construction works using approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Review contractor payment applications and assess the value of completed work.
• Prepare recommendations for interim progress payments and change requests.
• Assist with the evaluation of contractor and subcontractor claims.
• Review claim submissions, supporting records, cost evidence, and contractual entitlement.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, financial updates, forecasts, and commercial summaries.
• Compare planned expenditure with actual costs, commitments, approved changes, and forecast final values.
• Produce earned value reports to assess cost and progress performance.
• Prepare, review, and update project cash‑flow forecasts.
• Estimate variation orders using verified quantities, contract rates, market data, and supporting documentation.
• Review changes in scope and compare production rates, work methods, and cost information.
• Evaluate variations and change orders in coordination with the Contract Administrator, design team, and construction team.
• Participate in commercial negotiations with contractors and subcontractors.
• Maintain variation, payment, claim, commitment, and cost registers.
• Support budget management and formal change control procedures.
• Identify potential commercial risks and notify the project leadership team of material concerns.
• Review project correspondence, instructions, drawings, and records that may affect cost or contractual entitlement.
• Prepare clear commercial recommendations supported by measurable evidence.
• Assist with final account preparation, reconciliation, negotiation, and settlement.
• Attend client, progress, design, and commercial meetings when required.
• Present cost information confidently to project stakeholders.
• Protect the confidentiality of client, project, contractual, and financial information.
• Coordinate effectively with internal departments and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Prioritize multiple commercial assignments to meet reporting and payment deadlines.
• Maintain professional standards in all dealings with clients, contractors, consultants, and colleagues.
• Attend in‑person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office as a condition of employment.
