Job summary

Star Services in Dubai is seeking a hands-on Information Systems Specialist to join our team. You will deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support to office and warehouse staff, and help maintain hardware and network systems to ensure operations run smoothly.

Based at DWC Freezone, you will manage system operations, security, backups, and vendor relationships while enforcing access controls. A valid driving license is mandatory.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Information Systems Specialist to join our team in Dubai. In this role, you will provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 IT support to office and warehouse employees, maintain hardware and network systems, and ensure seamless operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• User Support: Provide prompt helpdesk and on-site support for ticketing incidents, basic software/hardware issues, and self-service training.
• Infrastructure & Hardware: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, servers (Windows/Unix), printers, and network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi).
• Warehouse Tech Support: Support warehouse devices including handheld scanners, tablets, and automation systems.
• System Operations: Perform daily system and backup checks, manage Disaster Recovery & High Availability plans, and monitor uptime and resource usage.
• Security & Admin: Enforce cybersecurity and access controls, manage IT budgets, procurement, and maintain vendor relationships.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or 2–3 years of hands-on IT support experience.
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of network topologies, LAN, IP standards, and Windows/Unix environments.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service orientation, and fluent English communication skills.
• Must Have: Valid Driving License.
