Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium in Abu Dhabi seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical installation, repair and preventive maintenance on plant machinery, ensuring minimum downtime and adherence to EHS guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in a relevant field with PEC Craft Training, has 3 years of experience in heavy industry, strong English skills, and familiarity with engineering drawings and maintenance tools. Training and mentoring of junior technicians is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a relevant field is required.
• PEC Craft Training completion is required.
• 3 years of relevant experience in heavy industry after diploma.
• No experience required after completion of PEC Training.

Responsibilities

• Tackles all mechanical equipment breakdowns and preventive-maintenance work within given time constraints.
• Technically assesses job requirements and selects the necessary tools and equipment.
• Ensures maintenance work complies with safety procedures and plant operations.
• Uses SAP to order spare parts and maintain records of maintenance work.
• Monitors repeated breakdowns and recommends modifications to resolve problems.
• Mentors newly joined mechanics to share plant knowledge.
