Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) in United Arab Emirates seeks a skilled electrical technician to attend breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance on LV/MV motors, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, UPS and related plant equipment.

The role requires a Diploma in a relevant field with PEC Craft Training and 3 years of heavy industry experience; reading engineering drawings is valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma in relevant field.
• Completion of PEC Craft Training.

Responsibilities

• Attends to all electrical equipment breakdowns including LV/MV motors, LV switchboards, MCCs, transformers, UPS, VFDs, breakers and soft starters.
• Planned preventive and predictive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Diagnoses electrical breakdowns and troubleshoots plant equipment with minimal direction.
• Uses SAP to order spare parts and maintains records of maintenance work completed.
• Ensures maintenance work is performed safely and in line with plant procedures.
• Mentors trainees and assists other departments in repair and troubleshooting.
