Job summary

EMIRATES GLOBAL ALUMINIUM (EGA) in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced maintenance electrician to service and repair electrical equipment across LV/MV motors, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, UPS, VFDs and related plant systems.

You will perform planned preventive and predictive maintenance with minimal supervision, diagnose faults, order parts via SAP, test equipment, and ensure safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a relevant field.
• Completion of PEC Craft Training.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in heavy industry after Diploma.
• No experience required after completion of PEC Training.

Responsibilities

• Attend to electrical equipment breakdowns (LV/MV motors, LV Switchboards, MCCs, transformers, UPS, VFDs, soft starters).
• Carry out planned preventive and predictive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Identify, report, repair or replace faulty items and re-assemble and test equipment.
• Diagnose electrical breakdowns and troubleshoot plant and equipment with minimal direction.
• Order spare parts via SAP and maintain maintenance records.
• Ensure work complies with safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other departments; train new technicians and contractors.
• Contribute to 5S, safety initiatives and overall equipment performance.
