The teacher will contribute to the development of inclusive classroom approaches, student support processes, assessment methods and intervention strategies as GEMS Founders School - Nad Al Hamar grows from its initial FS1 to Year 8 provision towards a complete FS1 to Year 13 school. The position is particularly focused on ensuring students with additional learning needs can participate confidently in the National Curriculum for England. Working alongside classroom teachers and school colleagues, the Inclusion Teacher will combine specialist knowledge with practical strategies that improve curriculum access, academic progress, wellbeing and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist educational support for students with additional learning needs.
  • Help identify individual learning barriers through assessment, observation and collaboration with teaching colleagues.
  • Plan targeted interventions that respond to students ' academic, developmental and learning requirements.
  • Deliver individual, small-group and appropriate classroom-based support.
  • Develop personalised strategies that enable students to participate successfully in mainstream learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers to differentiate curriculum content, classroom activities and assessment.
  • Recommend appropriate scaffolding, accommodations and teaching approaches for individual learners.
  • Establish clear learning targets and monitor progress against identified priorities.
  • Use assessment evidence to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and modify provision where necessary.
  • Support students in developing confidence, independence, engagement and positive attitudes towards learning.
  • Maintain high expectations while recognising different learning profiles and developmental needs.
  • Contribute to effective assessment and progress-monitoring procedures for students receiving additional support.
  • Build constructive relationships with students and create an environment where individual differences are respected.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to establish consistent inclusion practices across the newly opened school.
  • Communicate clearly with relevant members of the school community regarding student needs and educational provision.
  • Contribute ideas and practical expertise as the school 's inclusion systems, curriculum and learning culture develop.
  • Participate in professional development and use feedback to strengthen specialist teaching practice.

Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor of Special Education or Special Educational Needs, Master 's degree in Special Educational Needs, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
