Role Context
The ICQA Researcher - Inventory Control will work closely with inbound and inventory operations teams to improve data visibility, strengthen inventory accuracy, and support operational excellence initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data collection processes that support inbound, inventory, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Support data management systems used for tracking inventory accuracy, defect patterns, operational issues, and improvement actions.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and zero‑error reporting.
- Design queries, compile operational data, and generate reports using Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and related tools.
- Prepare charts, graphs, and structured reporting outputs to help teams understand defect trends and inventory performance.
- Conduct detailed research into inbound defects, inventory discrepancies, process gaps, and recurring operational issues.
- Perform data mining to identify root causes, hidden trends, error sources, and improvement opportunities.
- Collect and enter operational data when required, ensuring all records are complete, accurate, and ready for analysis.
- Work with inbound and inventory operations teams to support system changes, including FIFO processes, commingled inventory updates, and menu administration.
- Provide practical data support for operational excellence projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Build subject matter expertise in assigned department processes, inventory workflows, and fulfillment center operating standards.
- Support problem‑solving discussions by providing accurate findings, clear reporting, and evidence‑based recommendations.
- Help identify process defects that affect inventory accuracy, quality, productivity, or customer fulfillment outcomes.
- Lead by example in safety, quality, accuracy, ownership, and operational discipline across daily tasks.
- Communicate findings clearly to operations stakeholders and support follow‑up actions where data shows performance gaps.
Ideal Profile
- Previous experience in an operational role within fulfillment, logistics, inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, retail operations, or a customer‑facing environment.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing or customer‑facing environment experience is preferred.
- Strong ability to work with operational data, maintain accuracy, and identify trends from large or complex data sets.
- Practical knowledge of inventory control, inbound processes, quality checks, defect tracking, and operational reporting is an advantage.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access for queries, reports, data compilation, charts, and analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with a disciplined approach to data entry, validation, and report preparation.
- Ability to investigate problems carefully, connect data points, and support root‑cause analysis.
- Good sense of ownership with the ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks.
