Job summary

Mizuho International is seeking an Associate for the Primary Debt Markets team in a role that offers exposure to corporate, FI and debt-syndicate markets. The successful candidate will support marketing, client communications and the end-to-end execution of debt transactions.

You will work with the C&PS DCM, FI DCM and Debt Syndicate teams, contributing to cross-selling and client advisory across public and private markets. A strong foundation in finance and bond markets is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Bloomberg and market data tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a team and build client relationships.
• Knowledge of bond mathematics and valuation concepts.
• Familiarity with financial techniques and structuring.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality marketing and client support including pricing and market updates.
• Develop and maintain a detailed database of financial information and client requirements.
• Maintain dialogue with trading and sales to gather market colour and investor feedback.
• Assist in interpreting financial/regulatory publications for clients.
• Help demonstrate Mizuho's strengths in key markets to clients.
• Support origination of transactions and cross-selling opportunities.
• Assist in execution of transactions from pre- to post-execution.
• Collaborate remotely with London-based team members to aid development.
• Build relationships with other group entities for cross-selling opportunities.
• Evaluate client base strategically to prioritise deliverables.
