Job summary

Mizuho EMEA is seeking an Associate for the Primary Debt Markets team to originate debt products and manage client relationships across CG/PS DCM, FI DCM, and Debt Syndicate. You will support pricing, market updates, and cross-functional collaboration across the group.

Qualifications

• Proficient use of Bloomberg terminal for market data and trading signals.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial metrics.
• Self-starter with initiative and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working effectively within a team environment.
• Understanding of bond math and factors impacting prices.
• High computer literacy with data manipulation and presentation skills.
• Solid knowledge of primary and secondary debt markets.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality marketing and client support with weekly pricing, publications, pitchbooks and market updates.
• Maintain a detailed database of financial information and perform basic modelling to understand client requirements.
• Maintain regular dialogue with trading and sales to gather market colour and investor feedback on transactions.
• Summarise key financial and regulatory publications for clients and assess impacts.
• Develop the ability to articulate Mizuho’s strengths in chosen markets to clients.
• Identify opportunities to originate products with existing and new clients and strengthen relationships.
• Assist senior team members in executing transactions from run-up to post-execution stages; collaborate with CEEMEA clients and group entities.
• Support London-based teammates remotely and contribute to their development.
