Overview
The role involves working on projects associated with Sewerage & Stormwater, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks, Water distribution networks Pumping Station, Recycling Plant and rehabilitation works. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall site Safety Health and Environment management.
- Prepare site safety plan & procedures for the site and implement safety policy.
- Conduct safety meetings at least once every month and conduct the site safety audit and report that to management.
- Health and safety supervisors conduct safety training and other necessary training as fit by management.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and document them for reference. Consult with workers and management on the best approach to deliver a safe working environment for all workers.
- Conduct risk assessment program for the site work activities.
- Conduct audit for the site, contractor and sub-contractor; raise NCR, accident and incident reports.
- Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
- Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
- Maintain the health and safety environment at the workplace.
- Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer.
Client Service Management
- Internal and external client liaison.
- Ability to build and maintain a safety environment at the site.
- Experience in infrastructure project HSE supervision management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Engineering in Health & Safety Management, Environmental Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Infrastructure Construction/ Sewerage Field work background.
- NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate or equivalent and other HSE related Diploma certification.
- OSHAD – Qudor Official Registration.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices, particularly in the UAE & Abu Dhabi.
- UAE Driving License.
- Previous TAQA approval in Water transmission is preferred.
