Job summary

Stantec in Dubai seeks a Health & Safety professional to lead HSE management on infrastructure projects. You will oversee safety planning, risk assessments, inductions and incident investigations, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.

The role requires NEBOSH IGC 3, 5+ years UAE construction safety experience and a track record with engineering consultancies. Full-time position based in Dubai with focus on on-site safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety.
• NEBOSH IGC Level 3 – Mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience in the UAE.
• 2–3 years’ experience with engineering consultancy firms (preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, local authority requirements, and international HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Site Safety health and environment management oversight.
• Assist with construction health and safety plans.
• Ensure documentation submitted to authorities.
• Attend planning, technical and progress meetings; facilitate safety meetings.
• Develop emergency response plans and test their effectiveness.
• Conduct site safety inductions and investigate incidents.
• Report on health and safety issues and present to decision makers.

Job description

Description:

The role involves working on projects associated with Sewerage & Stormwater, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks Pumping Station, Recycling Plant and rehabilitation works. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.

Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for l site Safety health and environment management.
• Assist with the preparation of a construction health and safety plan.
• Confirm necessary documentation was submitted to the relevant authorities.
• Attend project planning meetings. Attend regular site, technical and progress meetings. Facilitate site health and safety meetings.
• Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures and systems, distribution of health and safety specific documents to sub-contractors.
• Compiling project specific emergency response and preparedness plans
• Testing the effectiveness of the emergency response plans
• Conduct site safety inductions.
• Oversee the reporting and investigation of project related incidents.
• Development of technical reports in relation to health and safety issues and communicate through presentations to diverse groups of decision makers
• Client Service Management
• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

Internal and external client liaison

Ability to build and maintain safety environment at site.

Experience in infra project HSE supervision Management.

Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer

Qualifications:
