Job summary

Stantec in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior HSE professional to lead safety, health and environment management on major infrastructure projects. You will develop site safety plans, conduct audits, and train staff while liaising with clients and management to ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering/health & safety, 8+ years in sewerage/infra field work, UAE driving license, and relevant certifications (NEBOSH, OSHAD).

TAQA/TRANSCO experience is a plus. Egypt?

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, health & safety management, environmental science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in infrastructure construction/sewerage field work.
• NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent.
• OSHAD/ADOSH registration.
• First Aid & Fire Fighting certification.
• UAE driving license.
• TAQA/TRANSCO approval in Water transmission is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall site Safety health and environment management.
• Prepare site safety plan & procedures for site and implement safety policy.
• Conduct safety meetings at least once every month and conduct the site safety Audit.
• Health and safety supervisors conduct safety Training and other necessary training as fit by management.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and document them for reference.
• Conduct risk assessment program for the site work activities.
• Audit for the site, contractor and sub-contractor, Raise NCR, Accident, Incident Report.
• Client Service Management and liaison with internal/external clients.
• Maintain health and safety environment at site and adhere to company policies.

Description

Description: The role involves working on projects associated with Sewerage & Stormwater, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks, Pumping Station, Recycling Plant and rehabilitation works. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for overall site Safety health and environment management.
• Shall prepare site safety plan & procedures for site and implement safety policy.
• Shall conduct safety meetings at least once every month and conduct the site safety Audit and report that to the management.
• Health and safety supervisors conduct safety Training and other necessary training as fit by the management.
• Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and documents them for reference. Consult with workers and management on the best approach to deliver a safe working environment for all workers.
• Conduct risk assessment program for the site work activities.
• Conduct Audit for the site, contractor and sub-contractor, Raise NCR, Accident, Incident Report.

• Ability to build and maintain safety environment at site.
• Experience in infra project HSE supervision Management.
• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
• Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
• Maintain the health and safety environment at workplace.
• Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering / health & safety management, Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Infrastructure Construction/ Sewerage Field work background.
• NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate or equivalent and other HSE related Diploma certification.
• OSHAD/ ADOSH Official Registration.
• Valid First Aid & Fire Fighting certification.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices, particularly in the UAE & Abu Dhabi.
• UAE Driving License.
• Previous TAQA / TRANSCO approval in Water transmission is preferred.
