Job summary

Dubai-based Safety Officer opportunity with a premier main contracting client for a villa development project. The role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis via J10 Consulting with a 3- to 6-month initial contract and potential transfer to staff after six months.

Successful applicants will have 3–5 years of Safety Officer experience on MEP or villa/tower projects in the UAE, NEBOSH IGC, and the ability to lead safety programs, inspections, risk assessments, and training.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related preferred.
• Minimum of NEBOSH IGC certification.
• 3-5 years of experience as safety officer in recognised main or MEP contractors with villa or towers project experience.
• Experience on MEP construction projects in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs including training sessions and safety awareness campaigns to promote a culture of safety.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections incidents and training activities ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
• Help in developing and implementing safety protocols and procedures.
• Support in investigating accidents and incidents to determine their root cause and prevent recurrence.
• Participate in HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with different departments to enhance safety awareness and practices.
• Aid in delivering safety training to employees on various health and safety topics.

Our Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a number of Safety Officers to join their team in Dubai at a new villa development project in the Emirate Successful candidates will have experience as a Safety Officer on MEP construction projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Safety Officer for a Main or MEP Contracting company previously This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 3-6 month contract position outsourced through J10 Consulting with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties

Safety Officer Experience:

• Strong team player with flexibility in work timings and allocations
