Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced HSE specialist for major infrastructure projects in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai. You will oversee compliance with ES&H standards, aid in developing safety programs, and monitor hazards and diseases in the work areas.

Role requires 7+ years in HSE, tunneling experience (TBM/NATM/Cut & Cover), and strong knowledge of regulations, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems. On-site work with opportunities to contribute to high-speed rail and rail infra projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of HSE experience in major infrastructure construction projects.
• Mandatory experience in Tunneling Works (TBM, NATM, Cut & Cover, or similar methods).
• Previous experience in Viaduct / Elevated Structure Construction is advantageous.
• Previous experience in High-Speed Rail, Railway, Metro, or Rail Infrastructure Projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems.
• Proficiency in incident investigation and hazard identification techniques.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, performs basic and routine duties in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.
• Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures.
• Assists in monitoring hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area.
• Works with others to investigate accidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
• Participates in recommending improvement in processes, design, procedures and equipment to minimize hazards.
• Participates in employee training, emergency preparedness and assures the quality of programs.
