Job summary

AECOM is seeking a qualified HSE professional to support safety programs across major infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. You will work under direct supervision to implement and monitor ES&H standards, assist in program development, and help minimize hazards in a complex construction environment.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of HSE experience, tunneling exposure, and familiarity with risk assessment and permit-to-work systems. NEBOSH IGC and OSHA certs are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of HSE experience in major infrastructure construction projects.
• Mandatory experience in tunneling works (TBM, NATM, cut & cover, or similar methods).
• Viaduct/elevated structure construction experience is advantageous.
• High-speed rail, railway, metro, or rail infrastructure project exposure is essential.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems.
• Proficiency in incident investigation and hazard identification techniques.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, performs basic and routine duties in environmental, health and safety disciplines to ensure compliance with ES&H standards.
• Assist in development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs and procedures.
• Assist in monitoring hazards and diseases in the work area.
• Collaborate to investigate accidents, injuries and workplace hazards.
• Support recommendations to improve processes, design, and equipment to minimize hazards.
• Participate in training, emergency preparedness and program quality assurance.
