Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd in Dubai seeks an experienced HSE Engineer for rail and tunneling safety on major infrastructure projects. The role focuses on day-to-day HSE monitoring, implementation of safety programs, and alignment with regulatory requirements in a challenging tunneling environment.

Applicants should have at least 7 years of HSE experience in large-scale infrastructure, with mandatory tunneling exposure.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of HSE experience on major infrastructure construction projects.
Tunneling experience is mandatory (TBM, NATM, Cut and Cover or similar).
NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely/Working Safely, OSHA certification are preferred.
First Aid and Fire Warden certs are preferred.
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, risk assessment and permit-to-work systems.

Responsibilities

Perform routine HSE duties to support compliance with ES and H standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop, implement and maintain health and safety programs, systems and procedures.
Monitor workplace conditions for hazards and health risks.
Participate in investigations involving accidents, injuries and hazards.
Support hazard identification and incident investigations and recommend improvements.
Conduct safety training and emergency preparedness activities.
Support the effectiveness of established safety programs.
