Responsibilities

• Create programmes to foster a positive work environment and administer the annual team member satisfaction survey
• Educate and train managers on HR disciplines to foster productivity and performance
• Welcome and conduct new team member orientation
• Oversee maintenance of personnel files and records for all employees
• Ensure hotel hiring standards and applicable laws are followed
• Build strong relations with outside contacts
• Help create the HR department budget and monitor expenses
• Monitor staffing to manage costs
• Develop initiatives to inspire team members and improve guest experience
• Interact with guests to gather feedback and inform staff improvements
• Collaborate with managers to meet service standards and drive improvements
• Promote hotel brand awareness and team involvement in the local community
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies and procedures
• Conduct annual HR compliance/standards self-audit
• Research workplace issues to identify risks and resolve via employee relations programmes
• Collect exit interview data to identify trends and training needs
• Other ad-hoc duties as required
