Job summary

Nathan & Nathan Human Resources in Dubai seeks an HR Officer / Assistant Manager to lead core HR activities, including employee relations, operations, recruitment coordination, performance management, learning and development, policy implementation, reporting, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has strong end-to-end HR generalist exposure, excellent English communication, knowledge of HR processes, and the ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, Management or related field.
  • Professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM; advantageous.
  • 4–7 years of HR generalist experience in corporate, industrial, retail, hospitality, services, or multi-site environments.
  • Experience in employee relations, HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, HR reporting.
  • Familiarity with UAE labour law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Excel; strong HR reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR queries and ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle including onboarding, probation, contract management, transfers, exits and records maintenance.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities from sourcing to onboarding and joining formalities.
  • Support annual/periodic performance appraisals and maintain related records and dashboards.
  • Coordinate training and development activities; identify learning needs and track attendance.
  • Assist with HR policies, SOPs and organisational development initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, manpower and turnover data; maintain filing systems.
  • Coordinate employee medical insurance processes and related queries.

Job Title: HR Officer / Assistant Manager – HR

Location: Dubai, Jebel Ali

Job Purpose

We are seeking a competent and proactive HR professional at Officer to Assistant Manager level to support and manage core HR generalist activities. The role will be responsible for employee relations, HR operations, recruitment coordination, performance management, learning and development, policy implementation, HR reporting, and employee documentation.

The ideal candidate will have strong end-to-end HR generalist exposure, excellent English communication skills, sound knowledge of HR processes, and the ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations and HR Operations
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related queries and ensure timely, professional resolution.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, investigations, warnings, and documentation, in accordance with company policies and applicable labour laws.
  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HR induction, probation confirmation, contract management, transfers, exits, and maintenance of employee records.
  • Ensure employee files, contracts, and HR documentation are accurate, complete, confidential, and audit-ready.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
  • Support manpower planning and coordinate recruitment activities to meet staffing requirements within agreed timelines.
  • Manage recruitment coordination from sourcing and screening through interview scheduling, offer processing, onboarding, and joining formalities.
  • Build and maintain an active CV database and structured talent pipeline for current and future hiring requirements.
  • Coordinate with recruitment agencies, universities, job portals, and other sourcing partners to strengthen candidate pipelines.
  • Support hiring managers with candidate coordination, interview feedback follow-up, and recruitment status reporting.
Performance Management
  • Coordinate the annual and periodic performance appraisal process in line with organisational timelines.
  • Follow up with managers and employees to ensure completion of goal setting, reviews, feedback, and appraisal documentation.
  • Maintain accurate performance-management records, trackers, reports, and dashboards.
  • Support performance-related discussions and documentation where required.
Learning and Development
  • Coordinate training and development programmes, including training nominations, approvals, attendance records, vendor coordination, feedback collection, and documentation.
  • Support the identification of learning needs in coordination with department heads and managers.
  • Maintain training records and reports to monitor employee development activities and compliance requirements.
HR Policies and Organisational Development
  • Support the development, review, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, SOPs, job descriptions, and organisational structures.
  • Ensure HR policies and processes are consistently applied across the organisation.
  • Assist with organisational-development initiatives, employee engagement activities, and process-improvement projects.
  • Promote a positive, compliant, and employee-focused work environment.
HR Administration and Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports, dashboards, manpower reports, recruitment trackers, turnover data, employee databases, and other HR analytics.
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems in line with document-control, confidentiality, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate employee medical insurance processes, including enrolment, additions, deletions, claims support, employee queries, renewals, budgeting, and cost tracking.
  • Issue employment-related documents, including salary certificates, experience letters, employment certificates, and other HR correspondence.
Internship and Documentation Management
  • Coordinate internship programmes, including intern onboarding, documentation, attendance monitoring, evaluation, completion formalities, and certificates.
  • Ensure all employee-related documentation is issued accurately, professionally, and within required timelines.
Process Improvement and HR Initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, documentation, reporting accuracy, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Support HR digitalisation initiatives, including HRIS utilisation, automated trackers, dashboards, and paperless documentation.
  • Undertake additional HR and administrative responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 4–7 years of HR generalist experience, preferably within a structured corporate, industrial, retail, hospitality, services, or multi-site environment.
  • Experience across employee relations, HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee documentation, and HR reporting.
  • Exposure to UAE labour law and HR compliance requirements will be preferred.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms, Microsoft Excel, and HR reporting tools is required.
