Job summary

Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE, seeks a professional Housekeeping Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a team of housekeeping staff, and maintain impeccable cleanliness standards for guests.

You will schedule shifts, inspect rooms and public areas, train staff on procedures, manage supplies, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years in housekeeping operations or facilities management.
• At least 2 years in supervisory role.
• Knowledge of cleaning standards, sanitation, and guest services.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience with staff scheduling and inventory management.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry and UAE standards.
• Willingness to work flexible hours incl. weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and quality standards.
• Schedule staff shifts and manage workforce allocation to optimize operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to verify compliance with housekeeping protocols.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement.
• Address guest complaints and concerns related to housekeeping services with professionalism and promptness.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and standard operating procedures across all housekeeping operations.
• Prepare reports on housekeeping performance, occupancy rates, and maintenance issues for management review.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special cleaning projects and facility maintenance needs.
• Maintain detailed records of staff performance, training activities, and operational metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
