Job summary

Minor Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Coordinator for Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi. The role involves coordinating daily housekeeping activities, liaising with Front Office on room status, and ensuring timely room readiness and guest satisfaction.

The candidate should have prior housekeeping or hotel operations experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or hotel operations
• Experience as housekeeping coordinator or similar admin/coordination role preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and record accuracy
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations and room status procedures
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with hotel systems is an advantage
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Positive, proactive, team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of the Housekeeping department and ensure smooth team communication
• Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status, priorities, and guest requests
• Prepare and update daily room status reports and housekeeping assignments
• Follow up on room readiness and ensure timely release of rooms
• Receive and coordinate guest requests related to Housekeeping with timely follow-up
• Communicate maintenance issues and room defects to relevant departments and follow up on completion
• Monitor and maintain records of housekeeping supplies, linen, guest amenities and equipment
• Coordinate linen and uniform requirements with related teams
• Maintain proper records and documentation related to Housekeeping operations
• Ensure lost and found items are recorded, handled and stored per procedures
• Assist Housekeeping management with daily reports, admin tasks, and departmental needs
• Support team member scheduling, attendance and daily operational requirements
• Communicate important updates and instructions to Housekeeping team members
• Ensure compliance with hotel standards, health and safety requirements and procedures
• Assist in maintaining communication between Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering and other departments
