Qualifications

• Experience as a storekeeper or inventory assistant, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to lift and move heavy stock when needed.
• Basic understanding of food safety and storage guidelines (HACCP is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders for accuracy.
• Verify items meet hotel quality standards and document discrepancies.
• Maintain records of inventory levels and perform stock checks.
• Organize and store items in storeroom for easy access and to prevent spoilage.
• Record transactions including receipts, returns and adjustments for auditing.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to understand inventory needs and replenish timely.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries and issues.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations in storage areas.
• Implement FIFO to minimize waste and ensure perishables freshness.
• Prepare reports on inventory usage, discrepancies and stock levels.
• Develop procedures for emergencies and supply chain disruptions.
• Regularly assess supplier performance for quality and pricing.
