Job summary

Le Méridien in Dubai is seeking an on-site Maintenance Associate to respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance across kitchen, mechanical rooms, and guest areas. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components while maintaining inventory and adhering to safety policies.

The role requires basic carpentry and painting skills, plus the ability to work across shifts and communicate effectively with guests and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Driver’s License is required.
• Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting is preferred.
• Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment.
• Inspect tools and equipment and locate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings.
• Carry equipment and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC items.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair various equipment including TVs, lighting, and appliances.
• Follow safety procedures and use Lockout/Tagout system when required.
