Job summary

NH Collection Hotels & Resorts in Dubai invites applications for an Engineering Supervisor at La Suite Dubai Hotel & Apartment. The role oversees daily engineering and maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facilities across the property.

You will lead a team, manage preventive maintenance, coordinate with contractors, and support budgeting and projects under the Cluster Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of engineering or maintenance experience in hospitality.
• Previous supervisory experience in hotel engineering preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and safety requirements.
• Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily engineering and maintenance activities across the hotel.
• Assign, monitor, and inspect maintenance work performed by technicians and contractors.
• Ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, laundry, and building systems function effectively.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and ensure completion on schedule.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and plant rooms.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and fire-life safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs.
• Assist in monitoring departmental inventory, tools, spare parts, and supplies.
• Support energy conservation initiatives and cost-control measures.
• Train, coach, and develop engineering team members to ensure high performance and service standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption to guests during maintenance activities.
• Assist the Cluster Director of Engineering and Assistant Engineering Manager with budgeting, project planning, and contractor management as required.
