Job summary

NH Collection Hotels & Resorts in Dubai is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee daily hotel engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant facilities across the property.

You will supervise technicians, manage preventive maintenance, and coordinate with other departments to minimize guest disruption, while upholding high service standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of engineering/maintenance experience in hospitality.
• Supervisory experience in hotel engineering preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily engineering and maintenance activities across the hotel.
• Assign, monitor, and inspect maintenance work performed by technicians and contractors.
• Ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, laundry, and building systems are functioning effectively.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and ensure completion according to schedule.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and plant rooms.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and fire-life safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs.
• Assist in monitoring departmental inventory, tools, spare parts, and supplies.
• Support energy conservation initiatives and cost-control measures.
• Train, coach, and develop engineering team members to ensure high performance and service standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption to guests during maintenance activities.
• Assist budgeting, project planning, and contractor management as required.

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Engineering Department to ensure the efficient maintenance, repair, and operation of all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems. The role supports the Cluster Director of Engineering and Assistant Engineering Manager in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and operational environment for guests and team members while ensuring compliance with company standards, health and safety regulations, and preventive maintenance programs.
