Job summary

ENNISMORE in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a diligent General Cashier to manage daily cash collections, deposits, and disbursements, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation with accounting records.

You will prepare bank deposits, maintain petty cash, verify supporting documents, and assist with month-end closings and audits, collaborating with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and other departments while upholding cash handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in accounting/Finance/Business Administration
• CPA qualification, at least Part I
• 2-3 years of cash-handling or accounting experience
• Experience in hotel or hospitality environment
• Proficiency in Excel; hotel accounting systems a plus
• Strong numerical, analytical, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash collections, deposits and disbursements
• Receive, verify and record cash and payment transactions
• Prepare daily cash reports and submit to Finance Department
• Perform daily cash counts and reconcile balances with accounting records
• Prepare bank deposits and ensure timely submission of funds
• Maintain petty cash and process approved petty cash payments
• Verify supporting documents for cash payments and reimbursements
• Coordinate with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and other departments regarding cash transactions
• Support internal and external audits by providing cash records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and internal controls
