Qualifications

• Previous experience in FMCG/retail/warehouse/last mile environments preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site team and collaborate with site management to meet company objectives.
• Supervise order picking, packaging SLAs and quality assurance to maximise customer satisfaction.
• Coach and supervise adherence to SOPs and safety policies on shift.
• Coordinate with Deliveroo riders and ensure efficient dispatch and accurate order handling.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and stock rotation, manage stock counts and replenishment.
• Drive merchandising standards, site cleanliness, and orderly operations.
• Ensure compliance with policies and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.

We’re looking for a HOP Site Team Leader to join our Dubai team. In this role, you’ll help us support Site Management in achieving the highest performance possible within their respective site. This includes maximising customer satisfaction, optimising productivity, maintaining strong stock accuracy, and tightly controlling inventory, and minimising all wastage. The Site Team Leader must also contribute to a positive and cooperative working environment for all colleagues, ensuring at all times that the tasks they are completing and delegating are done in a safe, legal, and compliant manner. The Site Team Leader is responsible for running their shift most efficiently and effectively delivering operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Deliveroo HOP team. Deliveroo HOP launched in September 2021 and is Deliveroo’s speedy grocery delivery service. Our mission is to deliver groceries to customers around the world in as little as 10 minutes - from the weekly shop to a last‑minute dinner party or a late‑night snack. Working with trusted grocers, Deliveroo Hop promises to bring customers the very best products at lightning speed. The team behind Deliveroo HOP is building a network of stores across London, the UK, and International markets like the UAE. Each delivery store is staffed with a team who have been specially trained to manage the operations efficiently as well as pick and pack orders in record time, with Deliveroo’s 100,000‑strong rider network completing all deliveries. We’re looking for people with exceptional drive and entrepreneurial spirit to join the team at Deliveroo Hop and help us build the leading speedy grocery delivery service. Hungry to win? Here’s what your day‑to‑day might look like:

• Lead your respective team, working closely with the site management to achieve all company objectives and goals. This will require an ability to effectively prioritise tasks and activities on shift whilst retaining the ability to get stuck in!

• Supervise that all orders are picked efficiently and accurately meeting time targets. This includes overseeing the adherence to packaging SLAs and quality assurance of each order to maximise customer satisfaction.

• Supervise compliance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs) through robust supervision and impactful coaching.

• Communicate professionally and effectively with our Deliveroo riders.

• Effectively operate and oversee the dispatch order, ensuring the accurate handling of orders to riders and minimising mistakes.

• Ensure all deliveries are handled in line with company expectations and policies, driving adherence to temperature regulations whilst ensuring stock is replenished in an efficient and organised way. Maintain inventory accuracy and stock rotation accordingly. Complete the claims process daily where appropriate.

• Complete stock counts as per company policy with a keen eye for inventory management.

• Work collaboratively with Site Management teams with the ability to communicate professionally and openly with other stakeholders.

• Drive strong standards within your site, adhering to merchandising and space management principles in addition to delivering a clean, tidy, organised site environment.

• Maintain good relations to uphold Deliveroo’s positive reputation with all external parties. E.g. neighbours, landlords, contractors etc.

• Complete H&S checks and ensure that employees diligently adhere to company policies and procedures throughout their shifts.

• Supervise accurate timekeeping, ensuring team members appropriately record their shifts, take breaks as per policy, and adhere to working time directive requirements.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

• Previous experience in a similar environment (FMCG, retail, warehouse, last mile) is preferred but not essential

• Strong hands‑on mentality and detail-oriented

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment

• Proven track record of consistently hitting KPI targets (e.g. pick times)

• Track record of attendance, punctuality, and reliability

• Demonstrated leadership and experience training other associates

• Ability to run shifts on their own

• Contribute to a positive working environment

• Good communication skills and a good proficiency in both written and spoken English

• Right to work in the UAE
