Sungrow MENA & Central Asia in Dubai seeks a Senior Engineering Lead for the HIL lab to architect, develop, and maintain CHIL/PHIL test environments using RTDS and OPAL-RT. You will oversee grid code verification and model validation across PV inverter and energy storage systems.

You will lead a team of HIL/Simulation Engineers, manage lab operations and budgets, and work with sales to demonstrate capabilities to clients and partners while upholding safety and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in power systems simulation, HIL testing.
• 2+ years in leadership, managerial, or principal engineer role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.

Responsabilités

• Architect, develop, and maintain CHIL and PHIL test environments using RTDS (RSCAD) and OPAL-RT (HYPERSIM/RT-LAB).
• Lead verification of grid connection requirements (IEEE 1547, VDE-AR-N 4110/4120, ER G99, NEM).
• Oversee dynamic plant and inverter model validation, PPC logic.
• Drive automated testing frameworks (Python) to streamline compliance testing.
• Escalate complex control, communication (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850), and grid integration issues.
