Job summary

InterContinental Abu Dhabi is seeking a dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead the high-energy Sports Bar and deliver memorable guest experiences while driving revenue. You will coach the Food & Beverage team, optimize service standards, plan live sports events, manage costs, and collaborate with culinary leaders to keep menus fresh and engaging for guests during peak periods.

This role requires evenings, weekends and major sporting events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Restaurant General Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills for a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to drive revenue, manage budgets, control costs.
• Excellent knowledge of F&B operations, bar service, guest engagement.
• English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Sports Bar ensuring efficient service and adherence to hotel standards.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the F&B team, fostering teamwork and guest service.
• Drive revenue growth through promotions, upselling, and engaging offerings.
• Monitor financial performance including revenue, labour costs and operating expenses.
• Plan live sports screenings and events to maximize guest engagement and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to maintain menu quality and guest preferences.
• Schedule staff and manage deployment during peak periods and events.
