The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in leadership, and strong IFRS knowledge. The role focuses on accuracy, regulatory adherence, and strategic financial planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional qualification such as CA/ACCA/CPA/CMA is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
• Proven leadership and team management capability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely month-end and year-end close.
• Ensure financial statements are prepared accurately in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team (Senior Accountant, General Accountant, AP).
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and other regulatory requirements.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and tax authorities.
• Review and strengthen internal controls, identifying and closing control gaps.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and payment runs before finalization.
• Support the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Monitor and report on payables, receivables, and overall financial position.
