Senior Audit Lead — IFRS & Consolidations

Job summary

Confidential Company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a driven audit professional to lead and manage audit assignments from planning through completion, including risk assessment, execution of audit procedures, and final reporting.

You will ensure audits comply with International Auditing Standards and firm policies, perform and review controls and substantive testing (including consolidations and statutory accounts), and deliver high-quality reports to management.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA, ACA) or in the final stages of completion (Semi-Qualified)
• Minimum of 1–3 years of external audit post-qualification experience in a professional services firm, preferably with exposure to medium or large audits. Experience in auditing the investment industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and International Auditing Standards. Experience with group audits, consolidations and the review of IFRS financial statements will be an advantage.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, supervise junior team members, and consistently deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• Candidates with UAE experience and those who can join immediately are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion including risk assessment, execution of audit procedures, and final reporting.
• Ensure audits comply with International Auditing Standards and firm policies maintaining high standards of quality and independence.
• Perform and review controls and substantive testing including audits of consolidations and statutory accounts.
• Prepare and review audit documentation and deliverables including reports for management.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients acting as a key point of contact during engagements.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior team members providing on-the-job training and performance feedback.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines ensuring efficient and profitable delivery of services.
• Stay updated with changes in IFRS auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
