SteelAxis in El-Ain is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to craft authentic Kenyan dishes in a busy restaurant. You will lead the kitchen team, oversee daily operations, and ensure meals meet the highest standards.

You will develop creative menus showcasing traditional Kenyan flavors with a modern twist, manage food costs and inventory, train new staff, maintain safety, and work with management on budgeting and pricing. Accommodation is provided along with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Kenyan cuisine.
• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
• Knowledge of Kenyan ingredients, spices and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong leadership and ability to train kitchen staff.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative menus showcasing traditional Kenyan dishes with a modern twist.
• Plan and oversee daily operations of the kitchen including food preparation, cooking and plating.
