Job summary

Flyper in Sharjah is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary team. You will create and execute menus, uphold top food quality, and manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth restaurant service.

You will train junior chefs, oversee inventory and budgeting, and drive innovative dishes across international cuisines. Strong leadership and ability to perform under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Head Chef in a high-end restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of international cuisines and ability to create unique and innovative dishes.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in managing food costs, inventory and budgeting.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Food safety certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop menus that are creative, innovative and meet the highest quality standards.
• Manage kitchen operations including ordering ingredients, supervising food preparation and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
• Train and mentor junior chefs on proper cooking techniques, plating, presentation and kitchen sanitation procedures.
• Maintain inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and ordering supplies as needed.
• Monitor food costs by implementing portion control measures and minimizing waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with management on developing new concepts or promotions for the restaurant.
