Job summary

Flyper in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen in Zayed City. You will manage kitchen staff, develop menus, and ensure the highest quality of dishes.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in culinary arts or hospitality management, with at least 5 years in an Executive Chef role, strong leadership and food-safety knowledge, and a passion for global cuisines. This position offers a competitive salary and welcomes foreign applicants.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts/catering/hospitality management
• At least 5 years of prior experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations
• Excellent communication skills; ability to direct/manage staff effectively
• Passion for cooking; knowledge of global cuisine is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Create a menu that meets customer expectations and adheres to budget constraints
• Train, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff on safe food handling, knife skills, recipe adherence, etc.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment; order additional supplies when needed
• Ensure compliance with health codes and sanitation regulations in the kitchen area
• Monitor food costs to ensure profitability
• Develop new recipes that are innovative but still cost effective
• Oversee preparation of all dishes served in the restaurant according to established recipes
• Participate in tasting sessions to evaluate new dishes created by the kitchen staff
