Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Catering, Hospitality, or any other relevant field.
• Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Good understanding of hygiene, health and safety standards, with adaptability to diverse cultures and team environments.
• Minimum 5 years of international experience in a five-star hotel and restaurants in baking.

Responsibilities

• Uphold standards of performance, policies and procedures and service standards for the outlet.
• Understanding HACCP and maintaining a safe and equitable working environment.
• Assist in planning menus and standard recipes to ensure consistent quality.
• Coach and mentor senior chefs to train and develop their teams.
• Make recommendations to modernize equipment, production methods, and guest satisfaction.

About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Baker to join our Team in Madinat Jumeirah Resort.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Uphold standards of performance, policies and procedures and service standards pertinent to the efficient operation of the outlet in accordance with the hotel policy Departmental Operations manual
• To fully understand HACCP and take appropriate action to maintain a safe and equitable working environment whilst being sensitive to, and aware of, business levels to maintain a disciplined but harmonious department.
• Assist in planning of menus and designing standard recipes to ensure consistent quality in food production, thereby satisfying guest needs and expectations. Monitor food standards in each Outlet and Banquets
• To coach and mentor senior chefs throughout the kitchens, ensuring they have full support to train and develop their teams.
• Make recommendations to Management for the modernization of equipment, production methods, presentation, and improved guest satisfaction.
• Identify market needs and trends in terms of food for both hotel guests and local markets.

About You
