Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist - Materials Management to optimize inventory across global operations. You will partner with supply, demand, and regional teams to balance performance, reduce excess stock, and improve asset utilization.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a related field, 5+ years in inventory or supply chain roles, and strong proficiency in SAP and Excel. This role is on-site and requires collaboration across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, supply planning, or supply chain operations.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel/analytics tools.
• Certifications such as APICS CSCP or CPIM are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory optimization initiatives across global and regional operations.
• Collaborate with Supply Planners, Demand Planners, and Regional Operations to align strategies.
• Identify slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory and implement disposition strategies.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track inventory health and performance.
• Support S&OP / IBP processes with inventory insights and recommendations.
• Apply Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency.
