We are looking for a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Inventory Planning Assistant / Specialist to support effective inventory planning and stock management activities. The role focuses on monitoring inventory levels, analyzing demand and supply information, coordinating replenishment activities, and helping maintain the right balance between product availability and inventory costs.

Role Description

• Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, availability, and replenishment requirements.
• Analyze demand, sales trends, consumption patterns, and historical inventory data to support planning decisions.
• Prepare and maintain inventory plans, replenishment schedules, stock forecasts, and inventory reports.
• Coordinate with procurement, sourcing, warehouse, logistics, sales, and operations teams to ensure timely stock availability.
• Support purchase and replenishment planning based on demand, stock levels, lead times, and business requirements.
• Identify slow-moving, excess, obsolete, low-stock, and out-of-stock inventory and support appropriate actions.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve stock-related issues.
• Assist with safety stock, reorder points, minimum/maximum stock levels, and inventory optimization activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, planning data, spreadsheets, ERP information, and related documentation.
• Monitor supplier lead times, incoming stock, delivery schedules, and potential supply risks.
• Support inventory cost analysis and initiatives aimed at reducing excess stock and improving working capital.
• Track inventory KPIs and prepare regular reports, summaries, and recommendations for management.
• Support continuous improvement of inventory planning processes, systems, and forecasting methods.
• Contribute to maintaining optimal stock availability while improving inventory efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of inventory management, demand planning, replenishment, warehousing, and supply chain processes.
• Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze inventory data, demand trends, forecasts, and stock performance.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and data management.
• Understanding of inventory concepts such as safety stock, reorder points, lead times, stock turnover, and inventory accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inventory and planning records.
• Strong communication and coordination skills when working with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, supply chain planning, or warehouse management systems is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, planning requirements, and deadlines effectively.
