Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior Compliance Advisor to support Global Markets and Global Corporate Finance with expert guidance, oversight, and challenge. The role also leads the Compliance Surveillance team to strengthen governance and risk controls across locations.

Responsibilities include partnering with country Compliance teams, managing regulatory interactions, and developing the Annual Compliance Plan while ensuring robust risk assessment and timely closure of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in management, banking, finance or relevant field, preferably with a certification in compliance.
• At least 10 years’ experience in financial services Compliance.
• At least 6 years within a Compliance Surveillance/Monitoring role.
• Extensive work experience of market abuse rules, regulations and cases.
• Good understanding of automated surveillance tools and platforms.
• International mindset and knowledge of international laws and rules affecting Global Markets, Corporate Finance and Investment Banking.

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance advice and oversight to Global Markets and Global Corporate Finance.
• Lead and oversee the Compliance Surveillance team.
• Partner with country Compliance teams and regulatory authorities.
• Develop and execute the Annual Compliance Plan and risk assessments.
• Oversee governance and remediation of issues and breaches.
• Collaborate with Global Internal Audit to close management actions.
