Job summary

Filtrona in Dubai is strengthening its Finance team and recruiting a General Ledger Accountant to support end-to-end GL activities, month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations. The role emphasizes UAE tax and legal compliance and collaboration with internal and external audits.

The ideal candidate holds a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CA/CPA/CMA), strong IFRS knowledge, and experience with SAP or Cognos, with meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA or CMA.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting skills.
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Cognos is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end General Ledger activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end General Ledger activities
• lead month-end & year-end closing processes
• prepare & post journal entries
• perform balance sheet reconciliations
• ensure UAE tax & legal compliance
• coordinate internal & external audits
• support accurate and timely financial reporting

What We're Looking For:

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA)
• strong technical accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of IFRS
• ability to independently manage GL activities with accuracy and attention to detail
• experience with SAP, Cognos, or other ERP systems is preferred
• good knowledge of UAE tax and compliance requirements is an advantage
